Irwin Law has just posted the introduction to From “Radical Extremism” to “Balanced Copyright”: Canadian Copyright and the Digital Agenda, the new book on Canadian copyright reform that focuses specifically on Bill C-32. The book launches next week and will be available in both paper and as a Creative Commons licenced download.
The introduction, which is openly available now in PDF format, explains the origins of the book and includes a brief summary of each article. The book features five sections – context, technology, creativity, education, and access. The full table of contents can be found here. A reminder that we’re planning a great launch event on October 14th, including a panel on Bill C-32 that includes Ian Kerr, Blayne Haggart, Elizabeth Judge, David Lametti, and Teresa Scassa.
An excellent and comprehensive introduction to the book. I look forward to reading a broader range of views on this very important subject. Appreciation to all the people who put so much effort into this over the Summer.
